Matthew Paul

Matthew Paul is a dynamic leader and the current President and CEO of United Services Association (USA) since 2019. With an unwavering passion for the agricultural industry, Matthew has dedicated his career to making substantial contributions across various pivotal roles.

Matthew's journey in the agricultural sector began in his early years growing up on a family farm in Southwest Iowa, fostering a deep-rooted connection to the industry. He pursued his academic career at the University of Iowa, achieving a Master's degree in Accounting. Armed with a strong educational foundation, Matthew transitioned into the professional realm of corporate finance, marketing, pricing, and product launches within the agricultural sector.

His extensive expertise and dedication to the industry led him to serve as a general manager for the nation's largest network of independent regional seed companies.  Matthew's ability to navigate diverse leadership roles has positioned him as an influential figure in the agricultural arena.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Matthew finds joy in family life. He resides in the Des Moines area with his fiancé Lydia and their four wonderful children - Christian, Micah, Harper, and Addison. Actively involved in their lives, he enjoys being present for his children's sports events and school activities.

In addition to his roles at USA and NAS, Matthew extends his commitment to the industry by serving on the board of The Fertilizer Institute. His dedication to fostering growth and innovation within the agricultural sector is further demonstrated through his role as a mentor for the Iowa Agritech Accelerator Program. He also remains an engaged member of the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Des Moines Partnership, embodying his support for community and business development.
